Meeting Minutes
October 3,2008
President's Report: The meeting of the Grand Rapids Amateur Radio Association
was called to order by Jack Kunnen at 7:05 PM. The membership and guests introduced
themselves. Special thanks to Jack Amelar for is job well done on the successful swap
last month. Vice President's Report: Ron Fredricks is still working with Abe for grant money for "D" Star Repeater.
Secretary's Report: Was read by Michael Bowen. Mike Hill moved the minutes be accepted and Robert Johnson seconded, motion passed.
Treasurer's Report: Rich Douglas gave the following report.

Mike Bowen moved the report be accepted. John Bradley seconded, motion carried.
Trustee: Thanked those that helped with the highway cleanup.
On Air Director: Cortland Richmond nothing to report.
Off Air Director: Gary Lauff Nothing still has tower dogs video. May also have a person that collects telegraph keys that can come for a demo and talk.
Membership at Large: Robert Johnson reminded everyone about the open radio room on Wednesday nights.
R/C Committee: Spoke about the call out that was canceled. Training for R/C is coming up at the end of the month. Talked about GRARA snow corps - people with 4X4 vehicles for disaster.
Swap Chairperson: Jack Amelar absent.
Web Master: Changes in by-laws posted. Needs pictures for website:
VE Team: Rich Douglas reports that 5 to 6 persons took test at swap most passed. R/C 5 out of 6 passed.
Technical Director: Steve Provost absent.
Clubs: Clubs who were present or represented announced their meeting dates.
Old Business: Reminder that the grass needs cut at the Pettis site this month. Tomorrow we need people to help hang the new multiband dipole.
